Charged Aerosols in the Troposphere
Under the direction and support of Dr. Arthur C. Aikin of
NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center,
Nomad Research developed a theory to show how the uptake coefficient of
an aerosol changes when the droplet is charged. In addition, data
analysis and control programs were written to study the variations of
aerosols in the troposphere from ground and airplane measurements.
Results of the analysis have been presented at the Fourth International
Conference on Chemical Kinetics.
A paper discussing these results appeared in the Geophysical
Research Letters, 25, 1309-1312, 1998.
